I have kind of crappy, straight hair, that doesn't really curl. I've decided I look best when I have it shorter but I'm having a lot of trouble deciding which cut to get.
I have bangs, but I'm trying to grow them out so I can wear them to the side, so any tips with those would be great, too.

You might want to find a pic of a hairstyle that you like, then take it to the salon and watch how they style your hair. That way you can do it at home. Most stylists are very helpful at showing there clients on how to do their hair at home.
