Well you should go for a short cut about to your shoulders! Then get layers all around your hair and more in the front to give it extra style! You did not mention if your hair is straight, wavy or curly.
That makes a difference in what you're looking for.

Why short, are you fed up with long hair?
If you're gonna do it, cut it pixie short it's easier to maintain.
