I'm a very sporty chick, too. I used to wear it in a ponytail when I was in soccer. But for me, long hair when you're active is an absolute pain!! So my sister and I put our heads together (She's a profesional hairstylist) and decided to go short. My hair kinda looks like my Avatars. But with a better eye-catching style:)


It looks great and it's easy to maintain. And it stays out of my way when I'm dancing and being active:)

With a round face you do not want to emphasize the sides of the face. What that means is that you want to watch the width on the sides of your hair. If you want to thin your hair out, then your stylist can do it for you with a razor. Also with the razor, she can give you some uneven funky layers in the interior, without touching the length. I would recommend straightening it if you don't want the razor thinning.
well your hair sounds gorgeous. my hair is thick and brown like yours, but mine frizzes! maybe you should let your bangs grow and just make a nice side part. you can do many things with that...and maybe you should give your hair a trim to keep it looking healthy. itll take off the dry ends. it all depends if your hair is wavy, curly, straight. and do you want ways to style your hair or do u want a whole different style that you go to hairdressers for? maybe you should let your bangs grow, go to a hair place and get a side part, then they can't kinda cut your bangs kind of slanted to hang down the side of ur face.

grab them and stand them up at a 45 (an L cut diagonally) degree angle b/w your thumb and your middleandindex. slide your fingers down (or back i guess) about an inch and a half, 2 inches. now just hold them with your index and thumb while pushing them towards your forhead slowly and only about a half an inch or an inch. push them down on your head, bobby pin them across in one direction, then again in the other and you will have the poof. but i wouldnt advise doing it with more than a 2 inch wide section.

I Love sidebangs! Especially when they're long, but beware...side bangs aren't for everyone. Ask a friend or family member or even your personal hair dresser if you have one to see if it would fit your face. Long Layered Hair is always nice, though (if you like that..i mean.)

you should get side bangs. they are so in right now and you should get like not lots of layers but like 1 extra layer so you have like 2 layers
side bangs are in this year, they look good on almost everyone, unless you hav a bad hairdresser and they cut them to short. i suggest getting a layered look with side bangs, it makes your hair have a really great angle to it. also, the bob is in this year, mayb ull wanna consider that 2, just sum advice

The thing is, if you try to cover your face with long bangs, etc., it will look like you're trying to hide and draw more attention to the issues you're trying to cover up. What I would do is style your hair and makeup similarly to how you might normally do it when you have the time to do the job carefully. You'll feel a little better, and you won't draw extra attention to yourself.



Styes are no fun, but I have had a number of them. What has worked for me has been soaking a washcloth in some hot (but not scalding) water and use it as an occasional compress on the eye area during the day. It seems to bring the infection to the surface quicker and resolve the stye much sooner than it would do taking in its natural course.



It also allows me to do something proactive, which is so much better than just sitting around feeling gross and helpless.



Plus, being around warm or steaming water might even improve your cold symptoms some.

I think a simple high ponytail, side ponytail, straight hair with bangs or side bangs, wavy messy beachy hair, and you can curl it if you have the time to. Just do how you normally do you hair everyday.





Oh and you can add accessories too. Bows, headbands, hippie headbands, pins, flowers, etc.

I would recommend a good cut and ask for some style suggestions from the haircutter. One time I went in and said, ';I know you know what would look best on me so go for it';, I closed my eyes and let the haircutter have at it. IT was fun and such a great surprise. try brushing it over in a differnet part, half up half down, use a clip, make it kinky make it wavy try a bunch of stuff. try flipping it a few time to give it some body when u wear it down all day (flipping=bend over and flip up real fast gives body to the hair)

try a half-up-half-down. put your fingers at the end of each eyebrow on the outside and point up. thats where it should end. i do it all the time! its really cute!! another thing you can do is put your hair in a low messy bun and put on a chunky headband. My friends do it all the time and everybody loves it!!! Also, try french braiding your hair at night while its damp and in the morning it will have that scrunchy look. its really in. if you don't like it then you can straighten your hair or put it in a ponytail. This is my take. From your pic, your hair is long. Shorten it to just touch your shoulders, %26amp; add some Moderate streaks, no more than 2 shades lighter. Do a little straightening on the hair in front so you can do some cute bangs, not too much. I'd say that qualifies!
Try color, a new cut, anything from the ordinary!! think outside of the box!!!

okay umm a ';speedbump'; some people call them poofs but you take sum hair up front and make a poof with it and if u want put it in a rubberband as a high pony tail or something like gwen stefani

The truth is to find the right style for you, you need to try different ways until you find the one that suits you.





Try teasing your hair in small chunks and use hair spray to keep it up by spraying at the roots (this takes allottt of hairspray) so just keep teasing and start with the bottom layers of your hair and move up (if you have layers that is). Then move it and even it up so it is big and if you want to look more emoish, add a side fringe but make sure it doesn't look too flat as your hair should be big after all that teasing!





Or you could use straightners (good ones like remmingtons or similar help) and straighten and straighten some more till your hair is really long, smooth and straight! If you like you could maybe tease the ends a tiny bit or the tops (but not to much it's supposed to look smooth) and experiment till it looks good. The fringe with mega straight hair looks better bigger!





Basically try lots of different ways with your hair and take some time with it! No one can really tell you what to do you should get the feel of it and try mixing loads of styles together!

I was always led to believe that the Emo sytle was straight and over the face....If you already have naturally curly hair, I wouldn't suggest you go with that style unless you have a lot of time to straighten the hair....My daughter has naturally wavy hair and it takes her forever to straighten it with her flat iron...Sometimes she apllies a straightening agent to it to help it along..But we live where there is a LOT of Humidity and by noon it's back to it's natural self......Good Luck.. i would advise getting a heat protecting product that, well, protects your hair from the heat of the flat iron.





follow the directions, flat iron your hair,


and part your hair deep over to one side.


tease your hair at the roots and i guess thats all you really need to do.

1. use straightening shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you leave conditioner on for 3-5 min to deep condition.


2. Let it air-dry (or blow-dry if you want it faster)


3. Apply heat protectant like Biosilk therapy for sleekness and to protect hair. Make sure is COMPLETELY DRY.


4. Take hair in pieces and straighten with iron. Don't take too much at the same time, it'll be fast but the result will not be good.


5. Finish with a hairspray or light-hold mist.

I'm thinking about getting a new hairstyle. I guess some people might call it scene or emo or whatever. I'm not all about that but I do like some of the hairstyles. I was thinking about getting it cut w/ long bangs and adding some bold caramel color panels. My hair is past my shoulders so I'd keep it long and flat iron it. Do you think it would look ok or not?Opinions on a new hair style?
I think the scene hair can be pretty as long as you don't over do it, or over poof it. If you do get the cut make sure you don't cut it length wise so that it looks longer. Also try to get the scene layers a little longer then usuall so that if you don't like it it'll grow out faster.


If you decide you to do it make sure the caramel color panels go with you hair.


Although i prefer many other haircuts i think the scene hair cut does look cute on certain people, so i would ask your hair dresser what she thinks :)

Yep there is a great one what you do is you get hairspray spray your hair and leave it. While your leave it have a cigarette.... And watch out dont have a cigarette while spraying i did that and it caught on fire ... but the flame was great.

I like the 'bob' that is thin and feathered and moves with you. It should trail you and not show a tired venture. A light color not to eager to draw attention is the best.Dress with light,tight and earth-tone colors will speak much! Light and bright and fleeting is the stuff!

Well, if you wanted ur hair to like like beachchy waves, then just get a spray bottle and put a proportion of 1 tblsp of salt to 1 cup of water inside. Then just spray on when 80% dry. If you wanted to, i havent tryed this just dip ur hands in the salt water mixture and scrunch like that. Its better then putting in products, bc if you dont like it you could just brush it out and like, nobody would know anything becuase the salt is invisible. .My hair length is down to my shoulders and i want a new hair style that i can do at home WITHOUT buying stuff!

or just go to a stylist, dye your hair black or a dark brown[if not already] and ask to add layers all over, from the top to the bottom. ask to cut your bangs halfway through your eyes, and push them to the side, still hiding your forehead mostly. ask to ad some light on top, and some funky colors all over.

Blended layers. I'd have some one cut diagnally from bottom tip of hair (to keep the length) up to your bangs. (I think you have bangs) I also agree that side bangs are best for you. (very stylish right now) I'd also have blended layers cut in all the way around your head. This should be so blended that no one can SEE the actual layers. Try to keep your length as much as possible. Then get a free make up session at one of your area malls. Macy's or some other comparable store. If you have a hair school near you I'd go there for some nail care (usually only $6-8) for a new polish. I just went to ours and got my hair touched up with blonde high lights. Only cost me $22.50! Look in your yellow pages for hair schools Beauty schools, Cosmotology...etc. Good luck!
i think you should get it cut short. if you get it done right, it could frame your face in a cute way. you could layer it but i'm not sure if you should angle it with the shape of your face. it may look a little awkward..no offence.

How about really short like Halle Berry? Thats how my hair is!! Its fun, cause you can part it and make it look professional, or spike it up for something more funky. My niece is mixed and she had her hair super short for a while and it looked great! Try it, its just hair, if you dont like it it can grow back!!

If you are doing the highlights, get your hair cut in layers and curl the layers to add some body.

Without actually seeing you, its hard to tell. My best suggestion would be to go to a newsstand or grocery store and pick up a hairstyle magazine. As you look through the pictures, circle the ones you like. Then, go back through those and cross out the ones with a different texture (such as baby fine blonde hair) or different face shape. After that, take your pick, or go get the opinion of a stylist you trust.
Honestly, i was reading through cosmo and it said people with oval shaped faces can wear it any way, long, short, up or down...


maybe as a new style, go back to the scrunch straightened look. If your hair is curly its going to make this easier for you. Scrunch your hair wif some moose so it gets the messy look going on, then just straighten the bottom of your hair. So curly hair with straight ends. I dunno but i LOVE that look.

I think human hair braids or micro braids are the best. I get them every summer and they last all summer. I get the human hair in 18-20 inches in Italian deep wave or french deep wave. It costs about 70 dollars a bag and you need 2. Make sure the person does them really small and they usually come out like this:

Last year it was all about the long wavy hair and the loose curls. Apparently 09 will be the year of the medium length looks. Most of the gals on this page have blonde hair and different medium length styles for some inspiration :) If you don't want to be like everybody else than consult a REALLY reputable hairdresser in your area and she can determine what exactly is best for your individual hair. Some places have computers that can give you a preview of what the hairdresser or you are thinking about :)

You could get Carmel colored highlights. Or dark auburn highlights. You could dye the under layer a darker colour. maybe try layers. You could make it wavy with curlers, mousse and spray. Maybe you could get side bangs. they could be a darker colour than the rest of your hair.

maybe get a shade or two shades lighter than your current colour highlights just to add some dimesion to the hair. Maybe get a new style of bangs, or just get them cut a bit differently, get some more layers.

I have NEVER got my hair styled in any way other then layerd that didnt even help because its so thick. I just cant seem too find anything that would look good.

So currently my hairs pretty wavey, Extremely thick, Sort of a Dull Brown color , I was born blond but over time it turned into this ugly brown color that i hate but no mater how many times or what color i dye it, It stays this color.


My heads perfectly round, and it looks like i have waaay too much hair , Well i do..


I wouldnt mind dyeing my hair, Ill just need too stop buying cheap dye , Ha ha

Well, I would start by changing the colour of your hair!


First of all, dont by cheap dyes from the store. When people do them theirselves, it wont usually turn out to good. Go to a hairstylest and get it done. I would make it a nice rich brown, or an aubrum ( not sure of spelling). If you want, put some nice highlights in it, not to colourful, not to bright, a few shades lighter than your haircolour, to give your hair some volume.


For the hair style, I would for sure layer it up, make it have some more volume. Change the Length of it. Make sure its a length maybe at your shoulders or a little higher, whichever you like. I thinnk it would look pretty good wavy.


If you want, but a staitner, and use that. Just dont use it too much, or your hair will dry out and the colour will fade. You could also get a perm and the hair stylists to turn your hair straitened. Wavy will look ncie if you cant, as long as you keep it under control. If blowdrying it after a shower keeps it good, then do that. Experiemnt with different shampoos and techniques to figure out which will keep your hair under contorl, and the way you like it.
