I want to try some new hair styles any ideas?

My hair is black and a few inches longer than shoulder length.... I am growing it so dont want tips on how to cut it or anything I was just wondering if you knew any good websites or anything on some nice hair styles that arent to difficult to do because im bored of just having it loose or in a ponytail.... Maybe you have some ideas on how to style it in a nice way or how to make the norm look abit better??I want to try some new hair styles any ideas?

or heres some of my own ideas:

Messy bun:

Put your hair into a ponytail, and on the last twist you can get with your hair elastic, fold your hair in half and tuck the bottom under. Pull out random pieces of hair from that bun and then push it towards your head. This creates a nice messy bun for school.

Curls:

Buy herbal escenses moose (purple with green cap) then after you comb through your wet hair.... shake the bottle up and foam it in your hands .... put about half of it on each side of your hair (the back too!) and scrunch it!!! if you have naturally curly hair you don't need to scrunch it much... but if u don't then scrunch it a lot! ...

more moose= wet looking hair... (even though its dry)

less moose= dry soft hair.... (it looks more natural this way)

Up and down hair:

straighten or curl your hair.... then put about 1/4 of it up in pony that lays against the rest of your hair (leave bangs down)

braids:

First you part you hair in the back and take one inch thick of each hair and braid it. For an extra cute touch, put ribbons on the ends. ( cute for school spirit days ) just leave bangs down.

Two Ponytails: Just like with the single ponytail, After using a brush to smooth the hair, use a comb to make a straight and even part down the center of your head. Make sure there is an even amount of hair on either side of the part. Use two matching ponytail holders to make a ponytail on each side.

Bobby pins: After brushing the hair smooth, make a side or middle part and attach a bobby pin on either side. Or you could take one side of your hair like in a side part andbobby pin it to only one side of your hair!

Hairline Ponytail - all of the hair is brushed up and forward and the base of the ponytail is located right at the front of the hairline. To get all of the hair to fall towards the front, it would be generally required to bend over at the waist and direct the hair up and towards the front of the head.Although hairline ponytails can be created, they are impractical since the bulk of the tail hair would hang down into the face, unless the ponytail was then twisted into a bun.

Two French braids:

Place your thumbs above and slightly behind your ears. Draw them slightly back and upward, gathering hair that meets at your crown into a ponytail. Don't anchor it.

Fashion one English plait, crossing the left strand over the center so that the two strands trade places, then the right strand over the center so that those two strands trade places.

Hold the plait in your right hand, separating the three loose strands below it with your fingers. Place your left thumb above and behind your left ear and use it to draw a strand half as thick as one of the original strands towards the ponytail. Add the newly gathered hair to the left strand and cross this increased strand over the center, taking the center strand to the left as in ordinary English braiding. Hold the plait in your left hand, separating the three loose strands below it with your fingers. Place your right thumb above and behind your right ear and use it to draw a strand half as thick as one of the original strands toward the ponytail. Add the newly gathered hair to the right strand and cross this increased strand over the center, taking the center strand to the right as in ordinary English braiding.

Continue gathering hair from the left and right and adding it to the strands just before you cross them over the center.

After several plaits, there will be no loose hair left to gather.

*good luck and i hope this helped*I want to try some new hair styles any ideas?
My friend got her top layer of hair dyed blond and the bottom part of her hair dark brown/black. I know it sounds weird and like it'd look bad but it's really cool and hot looking.
