I agree, journalism is not what it used to be! It's becoming saturated with inane stuff we don't really need to know.
As for Kate's hair, I don't like it at all; looks like a ruffled chicken is perched on her head...and I'm sure she had her teeth whitened long ago :) lol
They dumb it down to appeal to their audience.
