Don't have a link for you but I went to have my haircut the other day and said I was growing it (it was almost to my shoulders) so don't cut to much off. She cut nearly two inches off.

So I made her cut it really choppy. I don't know if your hair is layered, but a style I really like and now have, though shorter, is the Noel Fielding (from The Mighty Boosh). He describes it as ';Basic backcomb structure, root booster and a cheeky fringe.'; This means that if you have any volumising product, spray it at the roots on top of your head, grab a comb and work it backwards until it's all boofy (for want of a better word). Leave the rest down.
personally, I think you should just leave it down. don't do anything to it. I would maybe add an accessory, like a headband with an oversized bow on it.
